As Co-Owner and Lead Designer of Golden Ratio Media, I played a key part in designing website layouts, logo designs, and video motion graphics for our many clients. I was the main point of contact for our clients making sure their needs were met and the services rendered were a success.
Premium Bolivia Buena Vista Coffee Company was started in Colorado by Paragon Food Services. The owner is from Romania so he wanted a European look to his logo. Shown are the different design concepts that were created throughout the project.
The Golden Ratio Media team was asked to move to Denton, Texas for a year to be the design team for a major client - Prayer Stop. We handled every design aspect from start to finish on this project. The Prayer Stop television show aired on the National Religious Broadcasting Network. GRM worked as Directors, Editors, Artists and much more.

During my time with Golden Ratio Media , I had the honor to help create, design and engineer a new digital product where branding, custom websites, search engine optimization and Content Management systems came together to help streamline the website process for companies frustrated with web design companies. Our goal was to work towards creating a total In-House design firm that hosted our client’s sites and designed the websites around every aspect of our client’s business. We wanted our customers to have full control over their website and have access to all of the content that was created by us or by the end user.
Our DNN system provided free updates, uploads, created custom menus, links and drop downs to their current website layout. The website express modules that we created fit seamlessly into the client’s websites.
Other options available were custom designed chat rooms, photo galleries, contact sections, credit card processing, fully built shopping carts with store front and blogs for daily entry of current information.
The GRM team created a product – “Your Website Express” -- for clients that didn’t want a custom designed website. These concepts were based on providing an array of templates for the clients to choose from depending on their type of business. I was responsible for creating all of these templates from scratch. The samples provided will show you the expert experience I have designing website layouts and creating custom designed graphics of any caliber that appeal to a variety of customers. All template website drafts were designed in Photoshop CS5.
Premier Services was one of my first clients after graduating from college. I have been a part of every aspect of their design process over the years as seen by the logos, website layouts, advertisements, product labels, and vending machine graphics shown in my portfolio.
Premier Services is the parent company that created Java Cafe Select, Alpine Roastery, and Gra Café which are also featured in my portfolio. When Golden Ratio Media was started we as a team took over the designs for Premier.
All designs were created with a combination of the following software - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash Pro CS5.
Premier Services hired our Company GRM to design and produce custom signs that would hang in A&B Petroleum Gas Stations around Colorado.
The signs were all fabricated in-house and created from starch. We cut out the Java logo with laser cutting tools so that we could put LED lights and a red photo gel behind them to create a glowing effect. Some custom printed PVC plastic was placed on the sides with a swirl like design. This created a very modern design new to Java Café. The client loved the sign so much we made one for his office to hang next to his desk.
This is one of the most challenging and fun projects that my company had the honor of creating.
During my time designing for Premier Services they were beginning to put their coffee brand “Java Cafe Select” into local gas stations in the Colorado area. The project grew so large that our designs eventually were used in 19 local gas stations and 50 corporate office buildings.
We designed 3D Layouts of what a gas station coffee center would look like with the client’s branding and our designs. Our intent was to help the client get a better picture of our vision to make his coffee brand a success. I used 3D Studio Max and mostly Illustrator to design the coffee labels, signs and air pot labels.
This was a very challenging but rewarding project. The creativity was endless with what we designed and the client loved what we created for him over the course of 2 years.
Premier Services asked the GRM team to design the new logo and website for Gra Café. The concept drawings and the final layout using Illustrator are shown in the portfolio.
For the logo we came up with the idea to have two hands holding coffee beans and show them flowing into the cup as brewed coffee. This developed into a clean design that wasn’t too busy. The client was extremely pleased with the final design for his coffee trading company.
Gra Café Coffee Project is a nonprofit organization funded by Coffee Roasters who care about people being treated fairly in the world. They do not believe in making money at the expense of others. They live up to their motto “More than Fair Trade” while providing the best product to their customers.
The challenge of this project was to develop the right theme for the branding of Java Café’ Select. It centered on the African farmers and how they were being helped to succeed. We wanted to educate the customers in the steps that actually went into producing this brand of coffee. Gra Café’ was created as the wholesale side of Java Café’ but carried the same theme that showcased the farmers.
The professionally designed displays, signage and packaging were used to promote the Java Café’ Select brand in corporate offices, local gas stations and nearby coffee shops. A challenging but rewarding project as we all learned a lot in the process.
Blanchard & Richardson Dentistry asked the GRM team to design a new logo and website. I designed the logo in Illustrator. The client was happy with the results and currently displays a back lighted metal cut out version of it in their waiting room.
Premier Services wanted to update their current boring coffee vending machine graphics with an eye catching design for the Java Café Select brand. This was one of the most graphic intensive projects we did as GRM. First going onsite to determine the proportions and layout of the text and then working with the material suppliers to ensure everything would fit. It definitely was a challenge but a great learning experience.
Collection of final drafts for client websites I designed while working with Golden Ratio Media. Photoshop CS5 was used in making these designs.
Alpine Roastery is the corporate brand of coffee that Premier Services supplies to offices In Colorado. As CPS Design, I was asked to take over all of their branding needs based on the current logo. I designed a large variety of graphics, stickers, air pot labels, vacuum packaging foil labels and much more. I was given creative freedom which allowed me to create a professional look for the Alpine Roastery brand.
Paragon Dining Services is the largest privately owned food services business in Colorado. I met this client through the owner of Premier Services. I was involved in all aspects of the company’s branding from custom logos, websites, photo shoots, banners, flyers, business cards and food service menus. My designs were used in all 18 corporate office locations in the Denver area. I still help him to this day with any of his design needs.
GRAB&GO Market hired me to design the logo for their RFID unmanned store fronts. It was also to be used on high end flyers to show potential clients. The logo was designed in Illustrator CS5 and the flyers were designed with InDesign.
